James Logan Guards, 2006 Season.

Logan World Guard Wins WGI Championships The James Logan World Guard won its 9th consecutive title at the WGI World Championships on Saturday night, April 8, in the University of Dayton Arena.

Yes, it's true. For the 9th consecutive time the James Logan World Class Winter Guard has won the Gold Medal at the Winter Guard International World Championships held in Dayton Ohio. The students performed to a packed crowd in the Dayton Arena! They had stiff competition but in the end they came off the floor undefeated.

Congratulations to the students, staff and to our supportive Band & Color Guard Boosters!

Thanks go out to Lori Valdes and Liz Aguilar for heading logistics of the program. We really appreciate all your work! Couldn't do it without you!!

Special thanks go to Mark Metzger who took over as Director and Choreographer. He did an amazing job and we want to thank him for all that he does!!!

The World Champion James Logan Winter Guard program is featured in WGI Focus Magazine. "WGI Focus" is the Magazine of Winter Guard International (WGI Sport of the Arts) and the Fall 2003 issue features a super article on the Logan Guard, how they began, what motivated the program, how they got to where they are today, and some insight as to why they continue to do so well. FOCUS is WGI's free educational magazine aimed at broadening communication within the pageantry family of guards and indoor percussion ensembles. It's published three times per year: Winter, Spring and Fall, with a circulation of 27,000. FOCUS is a full color periodical that is mailed to the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan.
